PARTICIPATE
DeVulgare is based on contributions from those who live the local languages themselves, ie those who speak them.
Our appeal is therefore addressed to all those who speak, or who consider themselves speakers of, one or more regional / local languages (also commonly called 'dialects'). If you are one of these people, let us have your registration ! Below you can find out how.

If you are not bilingual in this sense or do not know anyone who is, you can always help us by contributing with a donation. Any kind of support is absolutely welcome!

SEND US YOUR AUDIO!
This is the main purpose of DeVulgare. We collect oral testimonies from anyone who considers themselves speaking a local language or dialect.

Start your registration by translating this sentence into your local language:
"It has been raining heavily all week, let's hope that the good weather will come back tomorrow." Then let your imagination run wild!
Here's what you can add:
common saying
general phrases
tales and fairy tales
descriptions of local customs and traditions
poems
recipes
...and so on!
HOW TO DO
Sharing your local language with us has never been easier!
To send us your recording, just fill out the form at this link and attach your audio file.

You can also send us multiple short recordings instead of a single one.

We will publish all recordings on this site in order to produce a catalog that is easily accessible to all.
